Will this actually work on large dogs with super thick, hard nails?

It works great for smoothing and rounding large breed nails. For very thick overgrown nails, clip first, then use the 60 Grit coarse head at 10,000 RPM to finish edges. The 80 Grit head is ideal for medium pets and regular touch-ups.
